Welcome to the Ideas and Feedback Site for the Friends of Redcar Cemetery website. The purpose of this area is to collect ideas and feedback for both changes to the existing site and new and exciting projects to be added to the site.

This page contains some of the ideas and projects already under consideration. People can vote on their favourite ideas, which will help the group decide what to work on next.

On the Plans page, it will display which plans have been considered and which are currently being worked on.

The 'Changes' page simply lists the completed works that are considered finished at this point.

Anyone can join the site to submit ideas, vote, and comment on existing ideas already on the site.

More on Fundraising

What else could we add to the fundraising page? We are currently listing all the planned events in the weeks ahead, but do we have any other ideas on ways we could encourage donations or prize donations through the websi (...)

Somewhere on the site, we could have a link, or even a page linking to the organisation, with details of what it does, and how it benefits our cemetery.

Significant People

If there are significant individuals, both past and present, we could dedicate an area of the site to them and their contributions. An example might be the creator of the wooden plinths across the cemetery, as well as th (...)

Thank you page

People donate their time, skills, and money to the group. It would be beneficial to have a page to express gratitude, especially for larger donations or funding that is received, where company names can be listed, perhap (...)

Headstones and Significant Graves

Possibly connected with the maps, there would be a section of individual stories associated with the cemetery; these may be short or long and would each be a page on its own. People could also be offered the chance to wr (...)

Photo Gallery

Just a relatively simple gallery of images taken in and around the cemetery, so that people can get a feel for the area, perhaps even some kind of virtual tour of the key areas that can be viewed online.

Cemetery Maps

We could add multiple maps to the site. We have explored a service that allows us to create numerous custom maps. This would enable us to create a detailed map of each section of the cemetery, potentially leading to a co (...)

Using QR codes

We have created a test QR code that, when scanned using a phone camera, directs users to the main website. However, we can make as many QR codes as we want, or specific web pages that could be used at events. If we have (...)

A simple page detailing how and why the group started, some of its past activities and growth, and any plans for the future could all be documented on a single page.

The Tree Trail

The Tree Trail has already been partially created; this should be documented on the website. The initial idea would be to have a single web page for each tree on the trail, so that people could view a single tree, follow (...)

Cemetery Timeline

From the start of the cemetery's existence, through to the present day, listing key dates and information over time. This would appear as a vertical line with key dates added as appropriate, which might link to other pag (...)
